Warranty

10-year manufacturing warranty

Hedda is built to last — for a long time.

We provide a 10-year manufacturing warranty on Hedda from the original date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that arise during normal use of the product.

Our ambition is not only for Hedda to last while one child uses it, but for it to live on, be used again and, wherever possible, be passed on to the next child.

10-year manufacturing warranty

Made from real wood

Hedda is largely made from birch wood — a living natural material. That means every product is unique.

The natural structure of the wood can create variations in, for example:

  • colour and shade
  • grain
  • slightly darker or lighter areas
  • natural markings and colour shifts

Such variations can sometimes be perceived as stains or discolouration, but they are a normal, natural part of the wood and a sign that the material really does come from genuine birch.

These natural variations do not affect the function or safety of the product and are therefore not considered manufacturing defects in themselves.

We repair rather than discard

If a part of your Hedda breaks because of a fault covered by the warranty, our first ambition is to replace the affected part rather than discard and replace the entire product.

A Hedda consists of several components that in many cases can be replaced individually. If a component needs to be replaced, we therefore want to preserve and reuse the parts that are still fully functional whenever this is possible and appropriate.

This may also mean that we use a carefully inspected, fully functional original part from another Hedda instead of manufacturing an entirely new part, provided this does not affect the function, safety or quality of the product.

A longer life is better for the environment

For us, sustainability is not only about which materials we choose. It is also about how long the product is used and how much new material we need to manufacture.

Every new component requires materials, energy, transport and other natural resources. That is why we believe it is better to use a fully functional part again than to discard it and use new wood and new resources unnecessarily.

Repair. Reuse. Replace only what is needed.

By repairing, reusing and replacing only what genuinely needs to be replaced, we can extend the life of the product while reducing the use of new raw materials.

What does the warranty cover?

The 10-year manufacturing warranty applies to faults attributable to materials or workmanship during normal and intended use of Hedda.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic changes resulting from use, damage caused by accidents, incorrect use, incorrect storage, external impact or modifications to the product.

Natural variations in the colour, structure and grain of the wood are not considered manufacturing defects.

Parts naturally exposed to wear are covered by the warranty when the problem is caused by an original material or manufacturing defect, but not when the part has been worn through normal use.

If something happens to your Hedda

Contact us and describe the problem, preferably together with photos and information about when and where the product was purchased.

We will then assess what has happened and, first and foremost, try to find the solution that lets your Hedda keep being used for as long as possible.

For us, the most sustainable Hedda is the one that does not need to be made again.
